To put a banner on the menu page:
{6} boss$ /usr/testbed/sbin/webcontrol -m "Emulab.Net down Sept 7th
(5pm) through Sept 9th (8pm) due to construction and power loss in
our machine room."
To remove the message:
{9} boss$ /usr/testbed/sbin/webcontrol -m ""
