Emulab FAQ: Setting Up a New Emulab: What partitions do I have to make initially?

Emulab FAQ: Setting Up a New Emulab: What partitions do I have to make initially?

For the standard disk image you obtained from us, you do not need to worry about partitioning the disk. That image is a "whole disk" image, and hence contains a partition table and MBR - these will be laid down on the disk along with the contents of the partitions by frisbee.

As for Windows, you will have to manually partition the disk and install from your own copy (due to licensing restrictions). We recommend holding off on Windows for now; focus on making your testbed work well with FreeBSD and Linux first.
